In 2020, Ida B. Wells was posthumously awarded with the Pulitzer Prize Special Citation for her, "outstanding and courageous reporting on the horrific and vicious violence against African Americans during the era of lynching."

On March 29, 2022, the Emmett Till Anti-lynching Act was signed by Biden, making lynching a federal hate crime.

Wells' legacy shows the importance of speaking out. Today, people must continue to take on the responsibility of using their voices to fight for their rights.
